What’s missing in salon & beauty industry in india ?
I would firmly say sustainable & eco – friendly practices. And not only brands but even each and every salon needs to adopt it.
So here are some suggestions
Energy Efficiency:
Invest in energy-efficient lighting and equipment to reduce overall energy consumption.
Implement smart heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to optimize energy use.
Water Conservation:
Install water-efficient faucets and low-flow showerheads to minimize water usage.
Educate staff on the importance of water conservation and implement practices such as turning off taps when not in use.
Eco-Friendly Products:
Use and promote organic and biodegradable hair and beauty products.
Source products with minimal packaging or packaging made from recycled materials. do they exist in india, I wonder ? 🤷♂️
Recycling Program:
Set up a comprehensive recycling program for materials such as paper, plastic, glass, and metal.
Encourage clients and staff to participate in recycling efforts.
Green Salon Design:
Choose sustainable and recycled materials for salon furnishings and decor.
Incorporate natural lighting and energy-efficient fixtures into the salon’s design.
Reusable Towels and Linens:
Switch to reusable towels and linens made from organic or sustainable materials.
Implement laundering practices that minimize water and energy use.
Digital Marketing and Paperless Transactions:
Embrace digital marketing strategies to reduce the need for printed materials.
Implement paperless transactions and receipts to minimize paper usage.
And most importantly
Educational Initiatives:
Educate both staff and clients about the importance of sustainable practices.
Provide information on eco-friendly products and the environmental impact of beauty treatments.
Incorporate a chapter in academies PAN India, I feel that’s where we can influence our next generation here.
