At the convergence of arts and craftsmanship, the scenography for the Dior Summer 2025 show echoes Kim Jones’ tribute to Hylton Nel, whose singular aesthetic infuses the collection’s looks. Monumental reinterpretations of some of his ceramics – taking the form of cats on the catwalk – represent a dream bestiary with surrealist overtones. A theatrical, dreamlike setting, initiating an impassioned dialogue between the worlds of the Artistic Director and the South African artist, to the tune of Kate Bush’s stunning Cloudbusting, specially recorded in a live version for the show.
