AEPC Invites Exporters to the Global Sourcing Expo Australia 2025 – Unlock New Opportunities in Melbourne!
The Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), Gurugram, has officially announced its participation in the prestigious Global Sourcing Expo Australia (Melbourne Edition), scheduled from 18th to 20th November 2025 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. Indian apparel exporters now have a golden chance to showcase their products at Australia’s premier global sourcing platform.
About the Expo
The Global Sourcing Expo Australia is the leading trade fair in the region for sourcing apparel, textiles, footwear, and fashion accessories. Established in 2010, the event attracts over 5,000 industry professionals from Australia and New Zealand, including top importers, wholesalers, agents, and retail chains. Key highlights:
- Global Marketplace: Connects international manufacturers with buyers seeking quality suppliers.
- Focus on Sustainability & Innovation: Features zones dedicated to home, giftware, and fashion.
- Strong Indian Presence: Indian manufacturers have seen increasing interest, especially with the India–Australia ECTA in force, boosting trade avenues.
- Gateway to the ANZ Market: Ideal for expanding into the ever-evolving Australian and New Zealand retail sectors.
Why Exhibit in Australia?
Australia continues to be a lucrative market for Indian apparel. Major exports include:
- Men’s, women’s, boys’, girls’, and kids’ jerseys, pullovers, cardigans, and waistcoats (mainly man-made fibres)
- Trousers, overalls, shorts (cotton and synthetics)
- T-shirts, shirts, and singlets across diverse textiles
Impressive Growth:
Indian apparel exports to Australia have shown robust growth—from USD 203.3 million in 2020 to USD 384 million in 2024. India’s share of Australian apparel imports has risen from 3.2% to 4.9% in just four years. Notably, knitted ready-made garments have seen higher acceptance compared to woven apparel.
