    • 12,923 JIT visits completed.
    • 93% of inspected claims settled.

  • Outreach Initiatives: Regional clearance camps in textile hubs (Surat, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, Amritsar) enhanced stakeholder engagement.

    The IMSC reviewed 8,453 ongoing cases and noted delays in document submission and physical inspections. The Chair emphasized accelerating case settlements and adhering to scheme timelines.
  2. Standing Committee Formation
    A standing committee led by the Textile Commissioner was tasked with addressing industry concerns, examining procedural inefficiencies, and recommending improvements.
  3. Targets for Pending Cases
  • Regional Offices: 374 cases (₹59 crore) to be settled by November 30, 2024.
  • Headquarters: 615 cases (₹841.51 crore) targeted for settlement by March 15, 2025.
  1. Concerns Raised by Industry Associations
    Representatives from FIASWI, SIMA, PDEXCIL, and CITI highlighted issues with subsidy disbursals and procedural delays. These concerns will be reviewed by the Textile Commissioner-led committee.

Chair’s Observations

The Chair expressed concerns about the slow progress and low expenditure (19.75% of budget estimates). A time-bound action plan was directed for 100% utilization of funds and expedited grievance redressal.
